Students at Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy won the Science, Engineering, Communication, and Math Enhancement (SECME) competition. The students competed in exercises using engineering concepts. The students built bridges, bottle rockets, and mousetrap cars among other items and they also learned how to write technical papers. They now will compete against other students in the region for a chance to represent Texas in the national competition.
